channel steel

Steel is a long strip steel with a groove shaped cross-section, belonging to the carbon structural steel used for construction and machinery. It is a complex section steel with a groove shaped cross-section. Channel steel is mainly used in building structures, curtain wall engineering, mechanical equipment, and vehicle manufacturing. The raw material for producing channel steel is carbon bonded steel or low alloy steel billets with a carbon content not exceeding 0.25%. The finished channel steel shall be delivered in the state of hot working, normalization or hot rolling.
Mainly divided into ordinary channel steel and light channel steel, it can be further divided into four types according to shape: cold formed equal edge channel steel, cold formed unequal edge channel steel, cold formed inner rolled edge channel steel, and cold formed outer rolled edge channel steel.
Its specifications are expressed in millimeters of waist height (h) * leg width (b) * waist thickness (d), such as 100 * 48 * 5.3, which represents a channel steel with a waist height of 100 millimeters, a leg width of 48 millimeters, and a waist thickness of 5.3 millimeters, also known as 10 # channel steel. For channel steel with the same waist height, if there are several different leg widths and waist thicknesses, a b c should be added to the right of the model to distinguish them, such as 25 # a 25 # b 25 # c.
